After the Earthquake: Progress Report and Photos

Report, January 29, 2010

Dalebrun Esther, our director of operations in Haiti, sent these photos along with his update about the situation in Haiti after the earthquake.

I am negotiating with owners of private reservoirs in Cité Soleil. No food or water is available in the worst slum, Cité Soleil. I will focus our work on bringing clean water to Cité Soleil by working with owners of reservoirs in the communities.

The meeting with the DINEPA was postponed to Saturday morning at 10 o'clock AM. I will bring the list of public water tanks with geographic coordinates and present our immediate action in the past two weeks after the quake. I will also present our strategy in leasing private reservoirs and using them the distribution point of water. I will propose collaboration in this effort. I am sending you some pictures I took during the past two weeks.

Sincerely,

Dalebrun Esther
Director of Operations
